How to write udev by-id rule

by Stephen Rowland   Last Updated August 01, 2020 14:01 PM

I use something that creates evdev devices and get a warning from udev about my rules. The rules are:

SUBSYSTEM=="input", KERNEL=="event*", ATTRS{../name}=="evmux-*", SYMLINK+="input/by-id/$attr{../name}"

but I get a warnining about linking to other devices. How do I write these rules without the symlink. The source code for the thing that creates the devices is here: https://github.com/jam3st/muxev
