Proper configuration using multiple machines?

So, I've got three machines and ten video cards sitting here - occupational hazard - and I thought I'd start mining.

I have ethminer working just fine on a single node. I'm configuring the second node, and my first thought was just to share my 'mining' folder - which has ethminer, the keystore, etc. - with the other machines, and launch it on each of the other machines.

This appears to work correctly. Is this a valid approach? Is there a better solution? Apologies if this has been asked before. I see many questions about multiple GPUs, but not much for multiple local nodes.

I'm not sure how ethminer works, really, but I'd rather not have my machines competing rather than cooperating.
