Switching regulator noise figure question

I'm working on a regulator using LM2576 in several projects (modules and self-built pcbs). My problem arises when i want to observe what plus of noise figure will add to the high frequency loop, a potentiometer in a relatively large distance from the PCB; let's say 10-25 centimeters.
What steps should i follow?

  • How to approximate such an error to the feedback system?
  • Is any shielding or switching frecuency filtering necessary? (ex: adding a 10uF cap to ground to limit rapid voltage jumps?
  • Should i buffer the potentiometer with a simple driver (ex: lm358?)
