How to show that $U$ is a subspace of $R^4.$

$U$ is the subset of $R^4$ defined by: $$U=\{(x,y,z,w)^T:2x-3y=0,z=w+x\}.$$

How can I show that $U$ is a subspace of $R^4$?

I have seen a similar example here but could not understand how it is done.

Can anyone please explain this?
