r8152x NIC Driver is not compatible to my hardware NIC card

I am having DELL Linux BOX which requires r8153 realtek NIC driver to work. But my linux box has 3.13.0-83-generic Kernel which is loading the driver as r815x (lshw -c Network) due to which the packets are not going out even tough the link is UP and it is verified using ethtool eth0.

Even tough Link is up with r815x driver, but packets are not going out (Ping also fails).

I downloaded the r8152 driver from realtek and installed in this machine, but no success.

I tried with apt-get distupgrade , no success.

Please share your ideas, how to update my driver to r8153 to make NIC card work properly.
