Modding Apple Wired Keyboard to avoid finger pain (RSI)?

by Wordpressor   Last Updated January 13, 2018 21:12 PM

I've been using Apple Wired Keyboard for around a year and I really liked the thing excepting it took me once over 2 hours to disconnect a lightning cable from it (and I think I'm not the first one).

But about a week ago I found out my finger joints are a little stiff and painful. I've tried everything before visiting a doctor and after switching to my original Macbook's Pro (2015) keyboard for two days everything is gone. I think it's a well-known fact that Apple Wired Keyboard is dangerous for health in many cases.

The thing is I really like the keyboard and I can't find any good alternatives (I want something specifically for Mac, with Command button) I'm wondering if maybe some of you had similar problem and resolved it without changing the thing? Will keyboard cover help? Or maybe there's a hacky-way of making button presses "softer"?

BTW I'm touch not press-typer, so that's not the issue.
