How do i set a permanent compilation filter? (Interpreter-only)

Since Android Nougat, ART has been optimized to save storage and improve performance and mostly to speed up app runs and boot time through the use of profile guided compilation. Speed-profile is the default filter which was enabled by default on Android 7
This is the compilation filter used when the device is idle, charging and fully charged. Try the speed-profile compiler filter to take advantage of profile-guided compilation and save on storage
The thing is that when I enforce other compilation filter (interpreter-only) rather than the default one, changes don't take place after device has been idle and fully charged. What can I do to set a persistent compilation filter?
